Born in Avignon in 1964, Vincent Alran set up his studio at the foot of the Montmartre hill, where the bohemian spirit of some of the greatest names in painting still reigns. But he has kept for his 'country' of birth, its brave bulls, its gypsies, its creeks and its laziness, a love that he shows through each of his paintings and which he maintains with regular escapades in his region.
Winner of the European exhibition in Nimes in 1987, one of his works was bought by the city's Museum of Contemporary Art. He subsequently exhibited in Paris (Villa Planeix-Le Corbusier), Brussels (Molière Gallery) and New York (New Musical Seminar). He also regularly exhibits in southern galleries (Lourmarin, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Avignon).
Music, his second passion, has also led him to illustrate several posters for shows (the Krakow Eurientales, Howard Buten's Mrs Butterfly ...) and record covers by Maxime Le Forestier.
