Massimo Di Febo is an Italian painter, graphic designer and printmaker.
As a teenager he cultivated a passion for drawing and painting, imitating the great masters of French Impressionism. He soon reached artistic maturity, aware that painting is not only a tool for expression and communication, but also for understanding external reality and his own inner world. The dominant theme of his works is woman, always seen in communion between love and objective reality. Numerous group exhibitions in which he has taken part (among them several editions of the Sulmona Prize) and personal exhibitions always set up with enormous favor from collectors: recurring his appearances at Expo Arte in Bari, Arte Fiera in Bologna, Padova Fiera, Ancona Arte. The anthological exhibition held at the Palazzetto dei Nobili in L'Aquila in 2002 deserves a mention. As a graphic designer, he has executed covers for volumes and several etching plates that the artist personally prints in his studio. His works have been acquired by the Franciscan Picture Gallery in Falconara Marittima and the Museum of Nocciano. His bibliography is also substantial, with critical contributions by distinguished scholars who have repeatedly taken an interest in his pictorial and graphic research. Particularly worthy of mention is the fine monograph published in 2003 on behalf of Arte Pentagono editions entitled "Itineranti emozioni," with an essay by Leo Strozzieri.
| UNIQUE WORK |
Oil on canvas by Master Massimo Di Febo.
"Woman for me is the creature that par excellence is the bearer of beauty and life. Unfortunately, contemporary society very often sees the female figure as an object and especially a tool for advertising campaigns. In this sense there is a lack of that high consideration that woman should have in society. "
