Luca Bellandi was born in Livorno in 1962, attended the Art Institute in Pisa and graduated from the Florence Academy of Art in 1985.

His pictorial activity initially refers to "classical" authors with interventions on famous works with the intention of freeing himself from history; later Bellandi came into more intimate contact with art and the American underground.
