Agostino Bonalumi (Vimercate, 10 July 1935 - Desio, 18 September 2013) was an Italian painter. He is considered one of the most relevant figures of 20th century abstract art.

Agostino Bonalumi's work, despite constant fidelity to the initially chosen artistic medium, is considered by many critics to be extremely imaginative and always new in the creation of new and original plays of light and shadow. Particular attention should be noted on the work of the seventies and eighties, with perspective shadows contrary to the directions of the normal light sources, precisely creating a disorienting effect, this approach can be explained as an element of rupture with traditional pictorial standards, in fact if during the art history man has always studied perspective to create a realistic pictorial effect, Bonalumi turns it upside down, or distorts it, creating his own personal "point of view" in line with the Primilian movement to which he belonged.
