Claudio Malacarne was born in Mantua in the summer of 1956.

From his earliest works, drawing takes the form of a privileged sphere of action and reflection: vast, autonomous and at the same time complementary to his pictorial practice. It is an uninterrupted laboratory, a continuous diary in which the inner need is fulfilled, the existential urgency to possess reality through the image that recreates it.
