Renato Guttuso , at the registry office Aldo Renato Guttuso (Bagheria, December 26th 1911 – Rome, January 18th 1987), was a painter And politic Italian, improperly indicated as an exponent of socialist realism, protagonist of neorealist painting Italian who expressed himself in the artists of the Fronte Nuovo delle Arti , Senator from 1976 to 1983.

His art, linked to expressionism, was also characterized by a strong social commitment, which also led him to political experience as a senator of the Italian Communist Party for two legislatures, during the secretariat of Enrico Berlinguer.
