Jeffrey Koons , more simply known as Jeff Koons (York, January 21st 1955), is a artist American known for his works of taste kitsch, which ironically illustrate the American way of life and its tendency to consumerism. It is also considered a style icon neo-pop and recognized among the richest artists in the world.

Throughout his career, Koons has expressed himself through the use of a wide range of techniques, such as sculpture, painting, installations and photography, and the use of different materials including pigments, plastics, inflatables, marble, metals and porcelain. The artist is generally referred to as the heir of Andy Warhol and continuer of pop art. Another author with whom he is generally associated is Marcel Duchamp, whose technique he reinterprets ready made.
